We share your data with trusted third-party processors solely to operate our services:

4.4 PostHog (Behavioral Analytics)
We use PostHog (PostHog, Inc.) for behavioral analytics. PostHog collects event data such as pages visited, course modules completed, quiz attempts, and purchase events. Data is pseudonymized and linked to a user ID rather than personally identifying information. No full names or payment details are sent to PostHog.
To opt out of PostHog tracking, click "Decline" on the cookie consent banner or visit PostHog's Privacy Policy. You can also opt out at any time by clearing your cookies and declining the banner on your next visit.
4.5 Google Analytics 4 (Traffic Analytics)
We use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) to understand traffic patterns, referral sources, and general usage trends. Google Analytics collects anonymized IP addresses, browser type, device type, session duration, and page paths. We do not use Google Analytics to collect personally identifiable information.
To opt out of Google Analytics, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or decline cookies via our consent banner. See Google's Privacy Policy.
4.6 Microsoft Clarity (Session Recording)
We use Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) to record anonymized session replays and heatmaps that help us improve the user experience. Clarity masks all input fields (including passwords and payment information) by default. Clarity may collect mouse movements, clicks, scrolls, and page interactions linked to a session ID.
To opt out of Microsoft Clarity, decline cookies via our consent banner or visit Microsoft's Privacy Statement.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data and certificate records for as long as your account is active and for a minimum of 2 years after your last certification, which aligns with the 2-year certificate validity period. This supports employer verification requests and compliance with state food establishment rules. You may request deletion of your account at any time (see Section 7).
Analytics and session recording data (PostHog, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) is retained for up to 2 years per each provider's default retention settings, after which it is automatically purged.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted HTTPS connections, secure authentication via Supabase, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password.
